As an escape from thinking about lockdown measures I turned my attention and imagination to circles in space. At the same time I was reading the Haruki Murakami story ‘Cream’ in which an old man gives us a puzzle to dwell on and in in which he asks to visualise a circle with multiple centres with no circumference. I put this series up in our Studio Reception area at Trowbridge Gardens during lockdown. I'm calling this installation Circles within Circles.
